APC - Assessment Practicing Certificate

I’m absolutely delighted to share that I’ve successfully passed my APC (Assessment Practising Certificate)! This is a major milestone for me, and I wanted to take the time to explain what it means for my work and for those of you who follow my journey in the world of dyslexia support.

What is the APC?

The APC, or Assessment Practising Certificate, is widely recognized as the gold standard for dyslexia specialists and assessors. It’s not just a qualification – it’s a certification of the highest level of competence in assessing individuals for dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties. Having earned this certification means that I am recognized for meeting the rigorous standards required to assess and support individuals in a highly professional and ethical manner.

This is an essential qualification for anyone serious about ensuring they are providing the best possible service to those with dyslexia, and I’m thrilled to have achieved it!

Why This Matters

Passing my APC is a significant achievement because it allows me to continue offering the highest quality assessments that are recognized and trusted across the field. For the individuals, families, and schools I work with, this certification means confidence in knowing that the assessments I carry out are thorough, accurate, and meet national standards. My support lessons and individual students will also benefit from my advanced knowledege.

For me, this achievement is the culmination of years of dedicated work in the field of dyslexia. I’ve always been passionate about ensuring that individuals with dyslexia receive the support they deserve, and the APC is a reflection of my commitment to maintaining the highest standards of practice.

Looking Ahead

With my APC in hand, I’m excited to continue working with students, adults, and educational institutions to help identify and support those with dyslexia. This certification is not the end, but rather a new beginning. It enables me to push forward with even greater confidence, knowing that I am fully equipped to provide the best services possible.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way – from my mentors and colleagues to the families and students who trust me to guide them. I’m eager to continue this journey with even more knowledge and skill.

Here’s to the future and making a positive impact!
